Summary:.
Romênia, século XVIII. Rayne (Kristanna Loken) é uma dhampir, um ser meio humano e meio vampiro, que vive aprisionada em um circo, onde é exibida como uma aberração. Ao ser atacada por um dos seus “donos”, ela é obrigada a se defender e acaba matando seu agressor, experimentando sangue humano pela 1ª vez. Isso a transforma definitivamente em uma criatura da noite, que passa a se alimentar de sangue. Vladimir (Michael Madsen) e Sebastian (Matthew Davis), caçadores de vampiros de uma sociedade secreta, a convencem a se unir a eles na caçada ao mais poderoso e mortal vampiro da terra: Kagan (Ben Kingsley), seu próprio pai. Para conseguir vencer a batalha eles precisam achar talismãs, antes que Kagan os ache e se torne ainda mais poderoso.
